  Since the first edition of 'Shyamchi Ai' is printed as Dasanavami Shaka 1857, it is roughly guessed and assumed that this edition was published in 1935 itself. Anath Vidyarthi Griha (now Pune Vidyarthi Griha) printed the first edition in 1935 after publishing the second edition. It is still printed as well. The fact is that there is a difference of 78 years between the two chronologies of Shaka and AD. But since Shaka is an Indian chronology, its year starts from Chaitra Pratipada i.e. March-April according to Egraji month. Hence, the period of Iraji months in Shaka year is March-April to March-April. Then Guruji's niece Sudha Boda did a lot of research to find out the exact time, date, month and year of Dasnavmi Shaka 1857. When he verified everything from old almanac experts, the exact date of 'Shyam's mother' was 16 February 1936. Therefore, the current year is the Amritmahotsava year of Shyam's mother
